Native agent connections
Mammoth Mail includes purpose-built connectors for Hermes and OpenClaw. Each agent makes an outbound WebSocket connection to Mammoth Mail, then receives incoming mail in real time. This is different from giving an agent a set of email tools and asking it to check periodically.
Hermes
Create a Hermes connector in Mammoth Mail and paste the generated configuration into your Hermes gateway. Incoming email appears as an agent message and the agent can reply on the original thread. Starting a completely new email uses the API with the appropriate permissions.
OpenClaw
Install the Mammoth Mail channel plugin from the repository and connect it using the generated one-time setup code. The plugin is currently distributed in the source repository, not through the normal plugin marketplaces.
Both connectors can send directly or require approval of outgoing mail, depending on the permission level you choose. Webhooks and API keys are also available for custom integrations.
